Time for some BIG GIRL glam!
I absolutely loved making this Bride-to-be headband! Soft, blingy and oh so bride-to be"ish" for a friend's upcoming engagement photos.
Yarn is Andes Alpaca in "Pearl" made by Yarn Bee and available at Hobby Lobby. It's a super soft blend of 15% alpaca and 85% acrylic in worsted weight. For the record, I adore working with any alpaca blend because it's so feminine and pretty...just enough fuzziness to make it pretty, durable enough to wash and wear easily.
I combined two different patterns to get just the right look for this headband. Band was made by chaining 60, slip stitch to form large loop, chain 3 and double crochet around for six rows in total. Started with a J (6.00mm) hook to give it a bit more stretch then completed the body with an I (5.50mm) hook. A slip stich was done after row 6 to give it a nice clean edge. Flower is from Sweet Kiwi Crochet on Ravelry here. Add a touch of glitz with a rhinestone button and it's a soft, warm headband for the upcoming Winter.
This bride is ready!
