Finally we're into the month I love! April in my geo is usually very bumpy weather.....some cold, some warm, a lot of wind and even snow sometimes. I adore April simply because it's the "doorway" into six or seven months of warm, sunny days in which I can run and bike outdoors to my hearts content. Sigh.....
I'll steer away from my hooks and needles for a moment and share some of my "other" side...free spirit and a bit of a rebel. I'm totally in love with running, biking, sweating and being outdoors. Yes, I am an adrenaline junkie...
I love my mountain bike (why I have one I don't have a clue because the closest mountain is about four states away...) and the faster I can go the better. Interesting that of the 15 speeds I could shift into, I typically use two...first and second. The more I have to work at it the more I love it....odd yes, but totally me. Even better, going up a steep incline (no mountains remember) and standing up to pedal. I feel like I'm 8 years old again. Double sigh...
Back to my day...pulled my bike down from it's winter nap on Sunday and headed out to a biking/running loop close to home. My hubby lovingly says "I strike off..." which in hubby language means I'm deserting him and have no clue where I'm headed or when I'll be back.
Oh what absolute joy! Nothing is better in my book than to feel the wind in my face, watch all the animals at play and absorb the sunshine? Add some really loud tunes in my earbuds (I am seriously surprised I'm not totally deaf!) and you have one fantasticly happy person!
It only gets better if I'm running that same path...yep...I'm hopelessly addicted!
Now that Summer's just around the corner I need to ponder what to knit or crochet ...something that balances me out...because I'm also a totally pink, lace, ruffle and hi heels kinda girl...
