Happy memory....when I was young I would love, love, love Christmas evening so I could pull out whatever craft item(s) I received as gifts and start looking at them. I vividly remember that cozy feeling when I'd seek out a quiet spot (not always easy with four brothers in the house) and indulge my "joy of anything crafty" by pouring over a new book, project or yarn I had opened that day. Oh, I never had to start them that day...actually just looking at them, feeling the yarn and reading and re-reading the directions was as much fun as finally getting it started!
Things certainly have changed in my life from those carefree days long ago...but...I still love to curl up with my newest project on Christmas evening and enjoy the "peace" that God fills me with.
Here is the newest item on my needles.
The Annabel Cardigan.....
Perfect for a ruffly dress or a pair of comfy jeans....
The Annabel Cardigan is as simple and classic as they come...straight garter stitch all the way folks...awesome project for on the go, visiting with family or when your brain just screams "NO" to one more charted design!
Working this up in some Lion Brand Fisherman Wool in a wonderfully soft shade of Wheat. Very organic and earthy...my favorite! My goal - finish it by the New Year! (would that be 2012 or 2013??) If the sizing and shape turn out just right then I'll explore my favorite yarn boutique and make another one is something a bit more decadent....maybe a soft shade of blue or pink in a soft merino blend??
You'll the pattern here at the Quince & Co. website. Take a peek at all the wonderful patterns they offer at www.quinceandco.com. So sweet....
