"Playing hooky...."

I was so loving the "instant satisfaction" of completing my pink hat (in the mail tomorrow for my granddaughter, Emma) that I decided to keep the motor running and grab another quick and easy project.

Here it is.....The Emmalynn scarf by Francine Toukou.

It calls for bulky weight yarn so I doubled up some Lion Brand Fisherman's Wool I had on hand in a rich deep brown that I like to think of as "hot chocolate" color.  Finding a size "N" crochet hook wasn't quite as easy and meant a quick stop at Joann's after Saturday evening church.

Somehow eight skeins of Vanna's Choice Baby ended up in my daughter's arms and found their way home with us...a baby ripple for new niece/granddaughter due in June is how she managed to convince me of that purchase.

I'm off now to start hooking that scarf ...

  1. Baby ripples are so much fun to make! I love changing over the colours, but beware of many many many ends to weave in - it's currently driving me crazy....
