I whipped up this little chocolate newborn hat from some "Click" yarn by Sirdar. Super soft and worked up very nice. Added a bow and it's done...
Pattern available over at oddles 4 noodles blog site here. Any chunky weight yarn would work up great though. Add a crochet flower or quick clip on bow like I did here and you have a baby shower gift in about a half hour. I have just one available in newborn size over at my shope - http://bumptobebe.etsy.com.
(Shhhhhh....don't tell anyone but thebow hairclips are available at Walmart for $1.00.)
